Netanyahu, Obama, and moral relativism
What does the foreign policy of the mellifluous Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the virtually incoherent teleprompter President Barack Obama have in common?
Is Netanyahu a moral relativist?
The mentality of these otherwise different politicians is rooted in moral equivalency, a concept which higher education in their respective nations derived from Hegel’s doctrine of cultural relativism. This doctrine negates the universal truths on which the two counties are based.
Moreover, this is the underlying intellectual basis of the Oslo or Israel-PLO Agreement of 1993, and of America’s “even-handed” policy toward Israel and the Palestinian Authority, as well as of the U.S.- Iranian nuclear weapons agreement of 2016.
That this crucial fact is unknown to conventional political scientists is a commentary on the abysmal level of contemporary education in the democratic world.
Is there nothing of moral significance that America has subsidized Palestinians with annual grants of hundreds of millions of dollars? I see this as one of the untold causes of the Israel-Palestinian conflict!
Without such subsidies these Muslim-Arab terrorists would be out of a job! Has any Israeli PM dared publicize this ugly fact?
To the contrary, Israel’s Prime Minister-in-residence has dignified this terrorism, not only by not saying anything about the countless Arab violations of the Oslo Agreement, but also by endorsing a Palestinian state on the Land of Israel!
I know from a casual encounter, that Netanyahu is not a moral relativist. However, he is first and foremost a PR man. This predilection induces him to yield to the dominant democratic doctrine of our time: “moral relativism,” which is as fashionable at Harvard as it is at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem!
It is precisely this all-pervasive doctrine that induced Europe to jettison Christianity and to open its doors to Islam.
It is this doctrine that unites the articulate Netanyahu and America’s teleprompter President Barack Obama.
I suggest that parents examine the academic fare of their young and older children. I found relativism lurking in a sixth grade text-book whose author dogmatically stated that only mathematics embodies truth.
Are the schools for which we pay so much corrupting our children?☼
