Defeating Islam
Today’s Jerusalem Post (April 5, 2016) carried this headline: “PM: I’ll Clear my schedule … to Meet Abbas.” That headline is nothing more than another dose of anesthesia which Netanyahu has been feeding the people of Israel during the past 20 years. Like so many other democratic leaders, he simply lacks the candor and courage, either to face this demonstrable truth about Islam and Muslims, or to proclaim it publicly lest he be deemed a racist.
This character failing of Israeli PMs underlies the political stagnation of Israel’s policy toward the Palestinians in general, and of Netanyahu’s appeasement of Mahmoud Abbas in particular.
Islam calls for war against non-Muslims
So far as we can tell, it never occurs to Israel’s political leaders to undertake a long-term wartime strategy based on the demonstrable truth that the Muslim leaders of the Palestinians are not interested in peace – if only because it would terminate the annual grants of hundreds of millions of dollars they receive from the United States. With peace they’d be out of the job of killing Jews!
Besides, these disciples of Mohammad can’t be honestly interested in peace as long as they practice Islam. Only fools and scoundrels deny this, and since neither epithet applies to Netanyahu, why does he continue to grovel before a tin pot despot like Mahmoud Abbas? And why, in two wars with Hamas in Gaza, why has he refrained from defeating that client of Iran?
Apropos of defeating Hamas, let us consider some ideas in Defeating Political Islam: The New Cold War (2009), a book written by American nuclear physicist, Dr. Moorthy S. Muthuswamy, who was born in India.
The book has been applauded by experts such as Steven Emerson, Executive Director of Investigative Project on Terrorism, Robert Spencer, Andrew G. Bostom, Bill Warner, Director of the Center for the Study of Political Islam, as well as by Geert Wilders, Member of the Dutch Parliament. According to this Center, Muslims have slaughtered approximately 270 million people since Muhammad? (See FrontPageMagazine, February 21, 2007.)
It took great courage to write this book. Unlike legions of scholars of Islam, from Bernard Lewis to Daniel Pipes, Dr. Muthuswamy is calling for a refutation of Islam as a religion.
This objective, which I applaud, may strike “politically correct” scholars as “Islamophobia,” and cultural relativists as impossible. But that objective is the sine qua non of overcoming Islamic imperialism and defending Judeo-Christian civilization from its most dangerous enemy.
Muthuswamy’s book combines scholarship and practical wisdom, so lacking in the democratic world. Netanyahu wouldn’t dream of organizing a team to refute Islam, even though numerous ex-Muslims, could serve that noble goal.
In Muthuswamy’s book we learn why peace-making with the Arab Muslims now occupying Jewish land is politically impossible. The impossibility is inherent in the very nature of Islam, which Dr. Muthuswamy deliberately and euphemistically calls “political Islam.” He begins on the surface, by saying that Arab-Islamic organizations like Hamas have no vision of [economic and social] development—due to the focus on medieval sharia and jihad as the instruments of [their] internal and external policy framework … Iran is another example of a country in which Islamists gained power through the ballot box and then pursued jihad-spreading policies. Due to their control of the military and the mosques, the two strong institutions that would be capable of challenging them, the radicals can maintain control over the reins of power. (pp. 40-41).
This applies to the Arab Muslims occupying Gaza and those inhabiting Judea and Samaria, the so-called West Bank. Of course, “radical” Muslims constitute the norm of Islamic culture, and the exceptions to the norm are not strategically significant. Without denying the existence of Muslim “moderates,” they simply cannot compete intellectually with Muslim “extremists,” who have mastered the Islamic scriptures, which they readily quote to impress and win over the ignorant Muslims masses, whose local grievances and ingrained anti-Semitism are manipulated and redirected against Israel and the United States.
Two states will not be at peace
It follows from Dr. Muthuswamy’s analysis that, contrary to Netanyahu, the Muslims living in the so-called West Bank, really Judea and Samaria, are not fit for independent statehood. Hence, only a lack of courage and wisdom can explain the Netanyahu government’s succumbing to U.S. pressure by endorsing the “two state solution” to the Israel-Palestinian conflict.
Those Muslims, contrary to Netanyahu’s economic or crypto-Marxist peace proposal of making Arabs middle class consumers – those Muslims, I say, are not primarily concerned about building the economic infrastructure of a Palestinian state. No, they have trained their children to become jihadists, as Dr. Muthuswamy indicates. The murderous agenda of these Muslim Arabs has the support of an overwhelming majority of the Palestinians. Muthuswamy estimates that more than 50% of Islam’s 1.5 billion adherents support jihad. This is why he calls for a refutation of Islamic theology. This would have worldwide ramifications. It would demoralize and morally disarm countless Muslims. The only alternative is to wipe Islam off the map, a bit different from wiping Israel off the map.
Hence, ponder this: If only 20% rather than 50% of the 1.5 billion Muslims are jihadists, that’s one jihadist for every American! Good morning Mr. Netanyahu! ◙
