Democratic strategist James Carville advises Democrats to ‘quit being a whiny party’
Democratic strategist James Carville said on Sunday that Democrats need to “quit being a whiny party.” Carville suggested they focus on recent accomplishments under the Biden administration.
According to The Hill, Carville appeared on NBC’s “Meet The Press,” during which host Chuck Todd asked Carville on how President Joe Biden should fix the disappointment among voters from his lack of progress on a variety of issues.
Carville responded with recent achievements, including low child poverty and pay increases for hourly wage workers.
Carville said, “Those are – those are real accomplishments, and it’s something that you can run on. And, aging, you don’t talk about what you didn’t get. That’s what these – Democrats whine too much, Chuck. Just quit being a whiny party and get out there and fight and tell people what you did, and tell people the exact truth.”
Carville went further to declare that the Republican party only focuses on the 2020 election and getting back at Jamie Raskin. “That’s it. That’s the entire platform,” he said.
However, he also turned criticism on his own party, as Carville pointed to “stupid wokeness” as the reason weak performances during elections in Virginia and New Jersey.
