AOC has another Town Hall fail

Representative AOC had another town hall, and it, too, was disastrous. She should have showed up to debate Tina Forte instead.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) has done it again. One week after a humiliating scene in which two constituents shouted her down for voting for support packages for Ukraine – and one week after she accused Lauren Boebert (rightly or wrongly) for not wanting to hold Town Halls – AOC held another one, and invited an even greater disaster. This time her constituents would not even let her speak. And she chose to dance to the rhythm of a protest chant, thus completing the disaster.

The latest AOC disaster

The latest attempt by AOC to hold a Town Hall to meet her constituents took place Wednesday night (October 19). This spectacle took place at the Boys’ and Girls’ Club in Astoria, Borough of Queens, New York. Reportage comes mainly from FreedomNews TV, the primary source. Other reports come from Real Clear Politics, Fox News, and The First on TV.

Protesters appeared from the beginning, and this time gave more clues to their grievances. FreedomNews TV had the best pictures. Here is a sampling of the text of the signs the protesters brought in:

  • A red Stop sign, modified to read “Sandy STOP Lying.”
  • “Agenda 2030, U.N. is Dirty, Save Humanity.”
  • “F**k Joe Biden.”
Still frame from "Listening Forum" where these protesters faced AOC and humiliated her for her positions.

And then this one, that actually would provoke comment from AOC. It read: “Wake up New York. Vote Tina Forte. F**k AOC.” Tina Forte is AOC’s Republican opponent.

Several protesters shouted out their concerns, which included selective treatment of certain constituencies in the provision of community housing.

Hey hey! Ho ho! AOC has got to go!

Suddenly the crowd erupted with a chant of:

Hey, hey! Ho, ho! AOC has got to go!

They even played bongo drums to provide rhythm for the chant. She shouted the crowd to listen to her, but they would not listen, nor would they stop chanting. Then she actually started dancing to the rhythm of the drums. And when she spotted the sign saying to vote for Tina Forte, she sarcastically replied, “Very classy. Thank you, sir.” The back-and-forth shouting continued, and then someone (we still don’t know who) turned out the lights. AOC’s security force escorted her out, to loud cheers. Then someone turned the lights back on, and she returned, saying, “I’m not allowed be in a room with the lights turned off.”

Fox News tells us another protester pretended to be wearing handcuffs. This goes back to AOC protesting in front of the Supreme Court, after the decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s. In that incident, AOC pretended to be wearing handcuffs—and broke character in the middle of the gesture.

As the seven-minute video makes clear, not everyone in the room was against her. So for a minute or two, one could hear protest and counter-protest at the same time. Chants of “Throw Her Out!” competed with a sounding of her initials.

Various Twitter users shared their own video recordings, as follows:

Lessons from the incident

So we now know that the opposition to AOC in New York’s 14th District goes further than the anti-war crowd. It includes those who object to special privileges for “alternative lifestyle” participants. But it also includes concerns that patriotic Americans share.

“Agenda 2030” refers to the program leading to direct governance by the United Nations, and sweeping readjustment of human activity and habitation in the name of environmental protection, by 2030. The original name was, of course, “Agenda 21,” and goes back to the 1992 Rio Summit. Participants really thought they could accomplish their goal by the end of the century. When they found out they couldn’t do that, they renamed their program “Agenda 2030.”

And why might a protester shout or write, “Save Humanity,” and not “Save America”? Because everyone who cares to know, knows that depopulation forms part of Agenda 2030. As CNAV has said before, population is now a theater of war. Indeed that was the theme of the Georgia Guidestones, before lightning struck them.

Indeed, Justice Democrats, AOC’s original recruiters and audition runners, boasted of her support for their plans.

One wonders also how many of those Queens protesters have seen the Coffman Map, the epitome of Agenda 2030:

The Coffman Map showing how one part of Agenda 21/2030, the Convention on Biological Diversity, would create multiple Protected Wild Spaces and Corridors covering some ninety percent of the land area of the U.S.A.

This is not to say that the holder of that sign was as well-versed in Agenda 2030 as was the late Dr. Michael S. Coffman. But it is to say that he knew enough, and that AOC plays a big role in it.

Looking ahead

Head-to-head polling of AOC v. Tina Forte is not available. But the two did received invitations to a debate, as part of a Congressional Candidate Forum by The Epoch Times. AOC turned them down; evidently she was at that disastrous Town Hall instead. But Tina Forte did appear at the other event, along with Tom Zmich, Republican challenger in New York’s 6th District. Tellingly, the Forum organizers placed two empty chairs on the stage. AOC had her name on one of them.

Given how these two events turned out, AOC probably would have done better to show up for the Congressional Candidates Forum and take her chances with Ms. Forte. As it is, she made the worst possible choice. Tina Forte, instead of having a debate, had an uninterrupted question-and-answer session. And nobody turned out the lights while she held the stage!

Is AOC now headed for an upset? The election is less than three weeks away. We shall see.
