Preemptive pardons mar Inauguration Day
President Joe Biden got off a Parthian shot at justice with his preemptive pardons of Milley, Fauci, Cheney, Thompson, and others.
President Joe Biden, this morning, proved every canard any American patriot uttered about him. Following through on threats his “senior aides” made last December, he issued preemptive pardons for several prominent – and some not-so-prominent – figures who disgraced themselves in the final year of the First Trump Administration, and in the first two years of the Biden administration. As a result, certain public trials, that would reveal the full extent of their guilt, may not take place. Worse yet, Biden’s pardon statement reveals his capacity – or that of his handlers and speechwriters – to lie.
List of the preemptive pardons
This Wayback Machine capture of the White House Home Page illustrates the things for which Biden wants history to remember him. Much of it is as uninspiring as it is false. But the silliness of that display pales in comparison to the action Biden took today.
The preemptive pardons went to the following individuals and groups, in order of mention by President Biden:
- General Mark Milley, United States Army, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff,
- Anthony S. Fauci, M.D., former Director of the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases,
- All members of the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6 Event, and Committee and members’ staffs, and
- Officers of the U.S. Capitol and D.C. Metropolitan Police Forces who gave evidence – much of it false – before that Committee.
The outgoing President explained himself in this statement:
Lend me your hat; I may vomit.Actor Claude Akins, as Cpl. Rockwell W. “Rocky” Rockman USA, in The Devil’s Brigade (1968)
Our nation relies on dedicated, selfless public servants every day. They are the lifeblood of our democracy.
Yet alarmingly, public servants have been subjected to ongoing threats and intimidation for faithfully discharging their duties.
In certain cases, some have even been threatened with criminal prosecutions, including General Mark A. Milley, Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, and the members and staff of the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol. These public servants have served our nation with honor and distinction and do not deserve to be the targets of unjustified and politically motivated prosecutions.
General Milley served our nation for more than 40 years, serving in multiple command and leadership posts and deploying to some of the most dangerous parts of the world to protect and defend democracy. As Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, he guided our Armed Forces through complex global security threats and strengthened our existing alliances while forging new ones.
For more than half a century, Dr. Fauci served our country. He saved countless lives by managing the government’s response to pressing health crises, including HIV/AIDS, as well as the Ebola and Zika viruses. During his tenure as my Chief Medical Advisor, he helped the country tackle a once-in-a-century pandemic. The United States is safer and healthier because of him.
On January 6, 2021, American democracy was tested when a mob of insurrectionists attacked the Capitol in an attempt to overturn a fair and free election by force and violence. In light of the significance of that day, Congress established the bipartisan Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol to investigate and report upon the facts, circumstances, and causes of the insurrection. The Select Committee fulfilled this mission with integrity and a commitment to discovering the truth. Rather than accept accountability, those who perpetrated the January 6th attack have taken every opportunity to undermine and intimidate those who participated in the Select Committee in an attempt to rewrite history, erase the stain of January 6th for partisan gain, and seek revenge, including by threatening criminal prosecutions.
I believe in the rule of law, and I am optimistic that the strength of our legal institutions will ultimately prevail over politics. But these are exceptional circumstances, and I cannot in good conscience do nothing. Baseless and politically motivated investigations wreak havoc on the lives, safety, and financial security of targeted individuals and their families. Even when individuals have done nothing wrong—and in fact have done the right thing—and will ultimately be exonerated, the mere fact of being investigated or prosecuted can irreparably damage reputations and finances.
That is why I am exercising my authority under the Constitution to pardon General Mark A. Milley, Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, the Members of Congress and staff who served on the Select Committee, and the U.S. Capitol and D.C. Metropolitan police officers who testified before the Select Committee. The issuance of these pardons should not be mistaken as an acknowledgment that any individual engaged in any wrongdoing, nor should acceptance be misconstrued as an admission of guilt for any offense. Our nation owes these public servants a debt of gratitude for their tireless commitment to our country.
Politico, in its Magazine section, reported last December that White House “senior aides” were considering such preemptive pardons. When President-elect Donald J. Trump announced his nomination of Kash Patel to direct the FBI, aides panicked. Politico had published a “Trump enemies list” the day after the election; many of these pardon recipients were on it. Politico had no basis other than Trump’s public statements for any of its listings.
The membership of the January 6 Committee includes Representatives:
- Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.), Chairman,
- Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.),
- Adam Schiff (D-Calif.),
- Pete Aguilar (D-Calif.),
- Stephanie Murphy (D-Fla.),
- Jamie Raskin (D-Md.),
- Elaine Luria (D-Va.),
- Liz Cheney (RINO-Wyo.), and
- Adam Kinzinger (RINO-Ill.).
What has happened to these figures?
Adam Schiff shifted over to the Senate in the last election. Interestingly, he said publicly he did not want a preemptive pardon of himself. That, he said, would be “defensive and unnecessary,” and would give an appearance of wrongdoing.
Zoe Lofgren has consistently won reelection, as have Jamie Raskin and Bennie Thompson. Pete Aguilar changed districts in the 2020 Census and is still in the House. The Illinois Legislature drew Adam Kinzinger out of his district when that State lost a seat in the Census. Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-Wyo.), of course, “primaried” Liz Cheney. Rep. Jen Kiggans (R-Va.) defeated Elaine Luria in the 2022 Midterms. Stephanie Murphy declined to seek reelection in 2022; Rep. Cory Mills (R-Fla.) took her seat.
Anthony S. Fauci has, of course, retired to private life. Nevertheless he still rates a chauffeured limousine and a security detail.
General Milley retired from the Army on September 29, 2023. He is now a visiting professor and visiting lecturer at the Princeton University School of Public and International Affairs.
Why should any of them need preemptive pardons?
Jim Hoft at The Gateway Pundit catalogued the wrong acts for which any of these figures might deserve punishment. General Milley was in regular contact with People’s Liberation Army elements in communist China. He is on record as promising to alert them in case Trump launched a military attack against that country.
Anthony S. Fauci created the coronavirus of “pandemic” fame, through gain-of-function research. Robert Moffit of The Heritage Foundation suggests Fauci perjured himself before the House Judiciary Committee on that very subject. In fact the House Pandemic Subcommittee of House Oversight raised that charge in their report.
Liz Cheney is already under investigation by the now Republican-controlled House of Representatives. But all members of the January 6 Committee had a hand in willful suppression of evidence exculpatory of Trump. This include Trump’s offer of the equivalent of a division of National Guardsmen. Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), then Speaker of the House, turned him down.
Finally, everyone knows that many of the witnesses before that Committee testified falsely to the January 6 event. Interestingly, the one witness whose name does not appear on Biden’s list is Cassidy Hutchinson. She accused Trump of trying to wrestle the steering wheel of his limousine away from his Secret Service driver. At the time, NBC News Correspondent Peter Alexander quoted sources refuting that story.
🚨 A source close to the Secret Service tells me both Bobby Engel, the lead agent, and the presidential limousine/SUV driver are prepared to testify under oath that neither man was assaulted and that Mr. Trump never lunged for the steering wheel.

An angry Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) said this on X:
Biden pardons for Mark Milley, Anthony Fauci, the members of the Jan. 6 committee and the cops who testified before the committee because they are GUILTY OF CRIMES. Never forget what the Democrats have done. The mask is completely OFF.

Laura Loomer pointed out what preemptive pardons really mean:
Now we all know for certain they are criminals. We always knew, they always denied it. But in the final hour, Biden admits what he did to us during COVID was criminal. He admits what he did to the J6ers and President Trump was criminal. 3.5 more hours till our nightmare is over.

If Biden were honest…
Here is what President Biden would have said, if he really meant to be honest:
Our power depends on keeping up appearances. That includes the appearance of dedicated, selfless public service on the part of those who take the actions that further our power.
And (sigh) certain upstarts have subjected some of my most loyal minions to ongoing threats and intimidation for faithfully carrying out my orders.
In certain cases, the lead upstart has even threatened some of them with criminal prosecutions, including General Mark A. Milley, Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, and the members and staff of the January 6 Committee. These people are my friends, and have served me and our Party with distinction. I am not going to sit back and allow my enemies to work their will on my friends, particularly when I fully anticipate, in four years’ time, correcting the errors that led to my departure from this position and thwarted me in my effort to choose my successor.
General Milley saw Presidents come and go for more than 40 years, serving in multiple command and leadership posts and deploying to some of the most sensitive parts of the world to extend our power. As Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, he gave warning, when warning was called for, to my other good friends in Beijing when that crackpot who now presumes to return to office, gave every appearance of being willing to attack them.
For more than half a century, Dr. Fauci served as the Experts’ Expert on medical matters. He has a lot of patents under his belt for conventional preparations against several of the best-known infectious agents, including HIV/AIDS, as well as the Ebola and Zika viruses. During his tenure as my Chief Medical Advisor, he made sure that people would obey my orders and take The Vaccine. The medical establishment finally found its voice and its collective gonadal fortitude to assert the Expert Prerogative under his leadership.
On January 6, 2021, our power came under its gravest threat when a group of self-described patriots appeared at the Capitol in an attempt to influence the then-Vice-President to disregard the generous bribe – excuse me, honorarium – we had offered him, and send questions about the appointments of Presidential Electors from five States, back to those States. Had they succeeded, I would not be sitting here today. To make an instructive example of my crackpot predecessor and now successor, and his supporters, Congress established the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol to propose bills of attainder and an ex post facto law against those people. The Select Committee fulfilled this mission with dispatch and a commitment to protecting the power of government as an institution. Not content with making sure that our proposed bills would never pass, our enemies have taken every opportunity to undermine and intimidate those who participated in the Select Committee in an attempt to set at naught everything our Party has worked for and stood for, and seek reversal, including by preparing criminal investigations.
I am optimistic that the Right People we have placed in charge of our legal institutions will ultimately prevail over the temporary setback that my successor’s election represents. But these are exceptional circumstances, and if I don’t act, we lose everything. Baseless and politically motivated investigations are OUR prerogative, NOT that of our enemies. Those people acted under my orders, and our Party will ultimately vindicate them. But in the meantime, I’m not going to let people who support me, go to prison or lose money. There is such a thing as loyalty upward, and there is such a thing as loyalty downward – which loyalty I am demonstrating today.
That is why I am availing myself of the power of my office, while I still hold it, to pardon General Mark A. Milley, Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, the Members of Congress and staff who served on the Select Committee, and the U.S. Capitol and D.C. Metropolitan police officers who told their carefully rehearsed stories to the Select Committee. Of course my enemies will mistake my act as an acknowledgment of wrongdoing, and will treat my friends’ acceptance of my generosity as an admission of guilt for offenses that, someday, will win recognition as good and necessary public service. Our Party owes these public servants a debt of gratitude for their tireless commitment to our power.
But of course Biden does not dare make this kind of statement. Nor would he, in any event, admit that January 6 was the false-flag pseudo-operation that it was.
These preemptive pardons mean not one of these people will ever see the inside of a prison cell. They won’t even rate the minimum-security imprisonment Martha Stewart once endured. Dr. Fauci gets to keep his chauffeured limousine and security detail. Adam Schiff stays in the Senate, and Zoe Lofgren, Pete Aguilar, Jamie Raskin, and Bennie Thompson stay in the House. General Milley can keep on indoctrinating more classes of educated dupes at Princeton. And those Capitol Police officers, some of whom committed murder under color of police authority as well as perjury, get off… No. CNAV will not compound the ignominy of these acts with a gratuitous and undeserved insult to Scotsmen.
On the other hand, those people will live with the askance glances of others, everywhere they go. They also had to endure the swearing-in, without mishap, of Donald Trump and now Vice-President J. T. Vance. Some of them even had to attend in person.
More to the point, those presumptive pardons cannot erase what they did. The exposure of these things presents an opportunity for reform – of our political, medical, and military institutions.
