Iran DENIES reports it helped HAMAS plan sneak attack

The Islamic Republic of Iran issued a statement yesterday denying any role in operational planning of Saturday’s sneak attack.

Iran says they didn’t do it?

The newsletter Modern Patriots sent a notice to subscribers at 6:17 a.m. EDT today, having a link to this article. According to them, Iran’s United Nations mission denied a weekend report from The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) accusing Iran of helping plan the attack by elements of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Arabic Harakah al-Muqāwamah al-Islāmiyyah, abbreviated HAMAS). Said they:

The determined steps of the Palestinians constitute a completely legitimate defense against seven decades of occupation and terrible crimes by the illegitimate Zionist regime. We support Palestine without reservation. However, we are not involved in the Palestinian response, which was carried out only by Palestine itself.

That statement is already erroneous at best. Over the weekend, elements of the Party of God (Hizbullah) fired rockets and infiltrated into northern Israel from Lebanon. The IDF chased them back across the border at the cost of some casualties.

Several outlets and X influencers carried the WSJ report:

That report certainly looks highly specific. Breitbart had further details, including this: Iran was not the first to deny their involvement. That dubious distinction belongs to U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. And also by HAMAS leaders themselves, who were boasting that they handled all the operational planning. However, that’s a significant change of tune, because at first they were crediting Iran with help:

Iran does have a motive. They do not want to see the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia sign another Abraham-like Accord with Israel. Israel was in fact in discussions with the Kingdom for precisely that purpose. After the attack began, Iranian officials boasted that they had isolated “the Zionist entity,” their name for Israel.

Tellingly, Iran does not say that Israel did this to themselves. Instead they suggested Israel was trying to explain away an intelligence failure.

Why disclaim the honor now?

Modern Patriots suggests Iran is trying to distance itself from an operation it can no longer defend. The reason they can’t defend it is that reports of horrific atrocities now dominate social media.

Gabriel Noronha, former State Department adviser on Iran, dropped this thread on the day of the attack. He did so in response to a retort that the $6 billion in assets the Biden administration de-froze, as ransom for five kidnapped Americans, could not have been used to finance any part of the attack.

This alone shows Iranian involvement, apart from the WSJ reporting their role in operational planning.

Modern Patriots also furnished this post from The Jerusalem Post indicating that the Germans and Austrians have stopped funding HAMAS.

Modern Patriots also offered this an an explanation for the element of surprise. According to them, Israel’s intelligence services have several spies inside HAMAS. But if the planning took place elsewhere, the spies would learn nothing. Operational orders came down at the last minute, further defeating any effort to anticipate the attack.

In other news, the IDF recovered the bodies of some 40 babies, many of them headless, in Kibbutz Kfar Aza, near the Gaza border.

This morning, Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israeli Minister of Internal Security, announced a streamlined firearm permitting process for Israeli citizens.

The source for that report pointed out that the strict gun control regime in Israel made its citizens more vulnerable to the attack.

Keep in mind it is acceptable for an Islam citizen to lie to advance Islam’s agendas. Learn the examples Mohammad set for citizens of the theocracy he created. People should read the Qur’an. The ISBN of one is 978-0-913321-01-0 which has the Arabic and English translation.
